We have had Consumer Cellular for several years. The cost is very low compared to Verizon and ATT. Connectivity is great, did not notice any difference between it and ATT or Verizon, both of which I've had in the past. You do have to buy your phone but once you pay for it the monthly cost is only for service. Customer service has been great, if you need it. Consumer Reports has rated them #1 for quite a while now.

Have been a Consumer Cellular customer for over 5 years. Our current phone is the Samsung Galaxie 6 and it is a great phone for our needs. No issues with service or connectivity. Our plan costs us $49.29/month (incl taxes) for 2 lines with unlimited messages, 1500 minutes talk time and 500mb data.

I have Consumer Cellular. I switched to them from Verizon on the reviews here. BUT, I am having trouble with the phone. I purchased a Motorola G4 on their recommendation, at first it was great, but now I am running into dead spots and getting very odd messages so I guess I have to get on to them and see if they can help me. Cost is excellent.

Have you considered a Google phone? Google fi. 20.00 for phone service/month and 10.00 per gig. There is a catch, you get refunded all partial gigs that you do not use. Use over, you get billed for Another gig. Switches to work on Wi-Fi automatically, like when your home. No hidden fees, no tax this, tax that. Best part they use two cell carriers and switch depending where you are in the country.

Problem, I had one. I reached an English speaking American w/o an extensive wait on hold. Cell service done right. No contract either!
