Default nONIE - Hush

You're cruisin - At least I hope you are. Get down here. Kathie needs rescued. As for FOOD, especially warm apple pie, I'm there. When you have a wife that can't spill milk on Corn Flakes, I appreciate the fine cuisine.

Saw a rocket this morning go up at 6:35. USAF GPS satellite launched from the Cape. It was fantastic. Clear view of the whole thing. Stood in my front yard.

I will be at Truman for the shuttle launch. Come join us. May even bring Teddy.

Teddy would be a big draw (in addition to the main event)... but, alas, we will be in MAINE....

Default Apple pies ????

Someone mention apple pies? I especially like the mini frozen ones from Sams. The little ones that you nuke in the microwave. Yeah - the ones that F16 left on the counter to cool. All 8 of them were delicious. Thanks - Teddy !!!

Bring the apple pie/s & we'll be at Truman. I can almost dream of them now.

Hatch Closed as Weather Concerns Grow
Mon, 24 Aug 2009 11:40:26 PM EDT

Technicians have closed and latched the hatch on space shuttle Discovery this evening in preparation for launch at 1:36 a.m. EDT. The seven astronauts inside the shuttle can get out quickly in the unlikely event of an emergency. While those steps are taken at the pad, the weather forecast has worsened, and meteorologists now predict a 40 percent chance of acceptable conditions at launch time. The weather teams at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Johnson Space Center will watch conditions carefully during the countdown. There is about two hours left in the countdown for the weather to improve and storms to dissipate in the area.
