Default "Ooops, I did it again"

For the third time in a couple of years, I encountered a car, on a cart path in The Villages.
I was driving my cart this morning, under the tunnel at Colony (beneath 466a).As I left the tunnel travelling north, and driving up the tunnel incline, I a saw a medium sized open top sports car approaching the down slope, headed south. The car had not picked up speed, so I slowly drove diagonally across the path to block the car. The female driver stopped her car, but threw her hands up in the air, and glared a "what the heck?" look. Her male companion looked away, as in "i'm not here".... As she slowly inched forward then stopped, I explained "You are on a cart path, no cars allowed". Some confusion followed, and I indicated that she could turn around on the grassy area. ]

shrandell! shrandell! shrandell!

Oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear!

Oh my! Oh my! Oh my!

I had to read that part 3 times about how you blocked that car with your golf cart!

Were you one of those patrol girls when you were in grade school? (I don't know if everybody had patrol girls and patrol boys when they were in grade school, but I did. I never got to be one though.....I was not brave enough.)

I am soooo glad it all turned out fine, but please promise me that you will not do that again -- just scream and holler and wave your arms from the side of the path.

(I hope she thanked you.)

HaHa -- I KNEW it! -- I just knew you had to have been a patrol girl or a Powder Puff Derby driver. (or maybe both) You sure are brave. I am so glad everything turned out like it did.
