Talking On the way home from DC.

This was a cloudy flight to Orlando from Dulles. I began it by sitting in the wrong seat- 10F- and having a woman with a rather loud baby sit next to me and say "She will not be screaming like this through the flight." She then said to the flight attendant that she was waiting for her husband to set up the kid's seat. She left after a little while. As yet, I was unaware that I was in the wrong seat. A group of seven or eight arrived and told anyone who would listen that people were sitting in their seats. So, I noticed now that I was in 10F rather than 10A. I took the right seat after juggling past the incoming group of four who were split up from others in their party. They were seated and in comes the flight attendant telling us that she lost her shoe and can anyone help her find it. Someone chimes out that she must have very small feet. Not me! The matching shoe is a pink one and is about 4 inches long. It turns out that the baby must have kicked if off while she was screaming in my ear at 10F. The 10E person rescued the baby's lost shoe from the floor. I hope though that the baby had a nice time in Disney World or wherever she was going after Flight 1241. I did have some humorous flight attendants on my Flights to and from the Orlando Airport.

This tracks with my experiences flying over the past several years. Five years ago I was flying over 100,000 miles per year. I am so happy to not be doing that anymore. Flying at one time for me was an adventure and a pleasure. Over the years it morphed into an ordeal.

My journey to DC was two years ago but I may be going back again soon. A train ride would be cooler but I have familial duties.

I was in DC many years ago, it was my 1st trip there. I was on a short vacation with my friend David while we were in college. I think it was the summer between my 3rd and 4th year. This was my 1st degree, I get them confused sometimes. Well 1st we went to Atlantic city, at that time there was a playboy casino with hot bunnies as dealers and waitresses. Funny thing is I think those bunnies are still in Atlantic city, but they don't look like bunnies any more. They all look and sound like patty and Selma from the Simpsons. Well I had a small gambling budget which I lost, funny my friend David had owed me some money which he paid back in Atlantic city, turns out I lost that too. Don't have your debts paid back while in a casino..lol. I did converse with a bunny, I think she liked me. I told her about my extra credit PROJECT I was working on. She seemed very interested. I think her name was Barbara, people back then all seemed to have normal names, much like the villages today. After Atlantic city we decided to take a trip to DC, well this brings me to the point of the story, when I 1st saw this DC thread it reminded me.... DC is really hot in summer, and very humid.
