Drove down Route 44A today, it is open and there is a new traffic circle at Buena Vista. Unfortunately it looks like it will still be a while before they open Buena Vista from 466A down to 44.

Went through the nice new traffic circle at the junction of Buena Vista and 44A this morning ( 9.8.09) and Buena Vista was still closed at that point

I also went by there and noticed construction going on at the southwestern part of the intersection. I'm assuming that this is the beginning of Brownwood - at least the construction is going on in the same area that Brownwood is supposed to be. It could be that they are just putting in all the infrastructure so that when they are ready to start actual construction that they are ready to go.
