Default Outdoor tvs vs indoor tvs on lanai

Has anyone used an indoor TV on their covered lanai with success? Our lanai is covered but not enclosed. Will the TV covers sold in stores help us use an indoor TV outside?

I've had mine in my covered lanai for six years. Still going strong!

Thanks so much for the prompt reply! We had no idea there were outdoor TVs. We have already bought an indoor TV from Sams. Were hoping we could find Villagers with your response!

By the way, do you keep the TV covered?

We lived in Las Vegas for 5 years. Had an indoor TV on our 1st floor patio for the entire time. No screening, just wide open. I still have that TV here in TV.

We had a standard (indoor) LG 55 inch TV on the lanai, I did provide an enclosure for wind driven rain as I could not find covers that large at the time. The enclosure also provided a way to store the remote, extra cables, etc. Going to move it to another wall due to changes in furniture arrangement, and will be looking for a 55 inch cover again.

We have an indoor TV hung out on the covered Lanai wall. No cover. So far (1 year) no problems.

Ditto on the above. I do cover it with a towel during the pollen season just to keep it cleaner.

We had a TV in the main cabin of our sailboat exposed to the salt water environment for the six years we lived on it. Never a problem.
