We had a pool installed earlier this year, and within days of completion, noticed brown and white streaking / staining on the sides and floor of the pool. Talking with some of our neighbors, we have heard that many pools installed this year are having this problem. If you are one of these new pool owners or know of one of your neighbors who had this problem with a new pool, would you please contact me? A private message with your phone number would be great. We are trying to determine if the problem is with the plaster / marcite, or if it is an application / installation problem. Thank you!

What does the pool installer have to say?

when we first put in our pool, we had diamond bright. We put muriatic acid in by the gallons the first few months to regulate the ph.
We also had to brush the walls every day. Our pool is 18 years old so maybe the directions are different now. Just wondering if your pool company explained to do this, and how long to do this? |

We have some kind of discoloration going on. Our pool is just a year old and the pool company said it is creaming. They will due a acid treatment, then drain it and refill it. Maybe it's because they didn't brush the walls like someone here said. They have been in charge on the pool condition since day 1.
