Question Washer Dryer install questions

We purchased a new home, (an Ivy model if that helps), with a laundry room and cabinets above where the washer and dryer hookups are. We want to install a set of front loaders on pedestals. Has any one with a late model home done this with cabinets that came with the home. We are not there to measure and want to order them before we go back down in a couple weeks. Question #2, we are thinking of getting a gas dryer as the line is right there ready to hook up. I am a little concerned about the vent as it goes straight up in the wall and would like to know if that set up will fill with lint quickly, also can the vent be cleaned from the outside as these dryers are big and heavy to move. Any info would be appreciated.

We have a front loading washer and dryer on pedestals that fit under the cabinets with room to spare on both height and width. Our model is a Lantana built in 2013. Washers and dryers have slightly different dimensions. To make doubly sure, have your salesperson get a measurement for you, either from your home or a nearby model.

Worst case scenario is that there is plenty of room to raise the cabinets higher, if needed.

We can't answer on gas. There are no gas dryers in homes between 466A and 44. All electric homes.

I cleaned my 2013 home's dryer vent this May. I expected quite a bit of lint. That was not the case, it was virtually not measurable.

We put our front load W&D on "gliders". Works like a charm.

You should be able to call your sales person and they could measure the height or call the building office.
