Default Flags permitted or not?

Riding on O'Dell Circle this afternoon I noticed a blue colored "TRUMP" flag flying just below an American Flag. As I understand the restrictions, flag poles would not be permitted but for Florida statutes which allow for a pole and one American flag or Florida State Flag and the inclusion of a Military Service Flag as well as MIA flags. No other flags are mentioned in the statute. Is the "TRUMP' Flag therefore a prohibited sign. I have also seen baseball , football college , state , foreign national and other flags flying below the permitted US flag. Do we have violations of covenants? Where does it stop?

This should be an interesting exchange of ideas. Got my Kevlar ready

You'll need more than Kevlar. Many fly the Gadsden flag below the Stars & Stripes. I approve heartily since it was carried by the 1st Continental Marines during the American Revolutionary War.

For those who may not know, the Gadsden flag was created by Col Gadsden of South Carolina. It was presented to the First Commodore of the USNavy as his battle flag. His Marines carried it onto his flagship and fought under it during the early part of the ARW.

Correction: Franklin wanted our national symbol to be the rattlesnake with 13 rattles in its tail, as opposed to the bald eagle.

Many would recognize the flag today as the Tea Party flag.

Are you sure the statute isn't for government buildings? I believe flying the flag on non govenment buildings are per the Flag Code and don 't recall flying another flag below is a violation.

There is a house on San Marino Drive - near Tierra del Sol that has a Confederate battle flag flying.

I imagine if a complaint was made to Community Standards that the Trump flag would be gone - but who knows?

I think you are right and it isn't allowed.

That would be my guess too that no political flags are allowed.

Why are you asking here rather than calling Community Standards to find out?

The correct answer may vary by which CDD the flag pole is located in.

We received a copy of our deed restrictions at closing. Just being curious I read through ours this morning. Nothing about what you may or may not hang on your flagpole but you may not dry laundry outdoors by any means, which is a relief to hear.

I am afraid this Florida Statute trumps that section of the deed restrictions.

That's good to know. I just want to see undergarments flowing from the flagpole, ya know!
