Default Scam call, beware IRS spoof.

I just received a robo call with a recorded message purporting to be from the IRS. I immediately knew the call was a scam because the IRS does not contact people by phone. The call told me an arrest warrant had been issued........ I hung up before listening to the rest of the message. Beware.

Do not fall for the scam. Scammers try to extort money to prevent the fake arrest being carried out.

We have all read these scam warnings over and over BUT there are always those (including here in The Villages) that fall victim to such scams.

I really cannot have sympathy for those who send money to the IRS using Western Union AND absolutely none for those who send money to the IRS in iTune music cards.

Call me what you want - but those people should not have control of their money anymore. If they do not have family to take charge of them, a court appointed conservator should be appointed.
