In most cases you are shopping for a matching personality.
When, we moved to the villages we left a doctor that I had used for years. He knew me, he knew my history and he knew how to talk to me.

It is shocking to find that if, a doctor has been sued for mal practice the case is usually sealed so you have no way to research this information. Website reviews-are they true or did he/she get their relatives to write the reviews?

For me-after you get a list of doctors who are qualified in the field that fits your health conditions TAKES YOUR INSURANCE AND IS TAKING NEW PATIENTS- call his/her office. If you get some ........... on the phone I would call another doctor. I do not need or want to deal with anyone that would hire a wannnabe drill sargent

We really liked Dr. Rivers, but unfortunately our insurance changed and we were unable to continue going to him. (Thanks Obama). I now go to and like Dr. Hildner with Villages Health, but my husband had to find yet another doctor because his insurance and Medicare supplement is through his past employer, not United Healthcare. (Thanks Villages Health)

I really like Dr. John Buress. He is a really nice guy. His office is Lady Lake Family Medicine in on 466 in front of Recreation Plantation. He is very thorough.
I went to him for many years. I did join the Villages Health System when they opened. The NP that was with Dr. Buress went to the VHS so I see her.

I see Dr. Rivers as a new patient because my own doctor has gone over to the concierge care and I was not prepared to pay more above my insurance to see him.

Dr. Rivers has been my husband's doctor since we came here and I am happy that he has agreed to become my doctor too.

I do, however, have excellent health insurance .... AARP J and that covers just about anything you need.
