Default USS Trumpetfish (SS-425).

USS Trumpetfish (SS-425 - Wikipedia)

Drove by someone with this on their license plate so I was wondering what kind of ship it was. Turns out to be a sub but I had figured that out to when I saw the submariner on the bottom of the licence plate.

I have met people from many different kinds of vessels while here in the Villages and earlier in Palm Harbor where one of my younger brother's friend's husband served on a submarine then in service.

I salute or Veterans for their service. I seem to meet mostly sailors here in the Villages with a Marine here and there.

Strange that you meet mostly Navy vets - Army vets probably outnumber all other services combined maybe two to one or more.

Currently, total Army manpower is slightly more than the manpower of the other services combined (with Air Force being the second largest in manpower).

GO ARMY!

My Dad was in a M.A.S.H Unit in the Army but fortunately got to Korea after the war ended. Uncle Bill was a scout with a tank crew that landed at Anzio.
