We took advantage of this last month with a trip to St. Petersburg. And made a great day of it.

First the Museum of Fine Arts. Highlights include masterpieces from Monet, O'Keeffe, De Kooning, Rauschenberg, and others, a sculpture garden, and a gallery of glass art, including Tiffany and Steuben. Plan about 2 hours. Save $17.00 per person entrance fee. (Don't forget to bring lots of quarters for the meters.)

Then across the street at Stillwater Tavern. Sat outside, sipping a couple of $2.99 16 oz PBR's. People watching and contemplating on how can our square friends ever understand Cubism.

Down Central to Haslam's Book Store. Largest used book store in Fl. looking for out-of-print drama and cookbooks. Found one! Autographed, "The Lutece Cookbook."

Then across the peninsula to Woody's Waterfront, St. Pete Beach. Watched a beautiful gulf coast sunset, dined on blackened grouper sandwiches, washed down with a pitcher of Yuengling.

Ahhhhhh.....
