Thumbs up Eisenhower Regional Rec Center

A few days ago, someone posted the question: What are your "go to" places to take guests visiting The Villages?

Today I visited the Eisenhower Regional Rec Center for the first time. I'm not sure if it was open yet during my last visit to The Villages in 2014. I was quite impressed with the donations made by Villagers of war memorabilia. If you are looking for a place to take visitors, put Eisenhower Regional Rec Center on your list.

The gentleman working at the front desk said he thought the Eisenhower Rec Center had a better collection of Eisenhower memorabilia than Eisenhower's Presidential Library.

He is probably right. Quite a lot to see there at the Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center for the military history or even history buff.

That building, The Eisenhower center, makes me so proud of our country and of The Morses for building it and the amazing and wonderful veterans and spouses who live here and of those who have gone on to The Village of Heavenly.

I've seen the place bring people to tears.

Proud, cool place.

All our visitors get a tour of this recreation center. It honors our veterans and displays a slice of American history the younger generations are on the verge of forgetting.
