Music Lovers Showcase
I saw on the cover of the Recreation Guide that there is a Music Lovers Showcase at the Savannah Center the end of the month. Can someone elaborate on what format this takes, whether tickets are required, what kinds of performances there are, and whether there is a program available showing who performs when?
I recall reading about this event before we moved down in late 2014, but have always missed it since we have been here. People seemed to have really enjoyed it.

You do need a ticket and can be done at any regional rec center. Think they are,$5 each. Only regional rec centers open on Sunday is LA Hacienda and Lake MionA till noon.

Yes there is a Music Lovers Showcase on 2 days this year, Sept 28 and 29. It is a FREE concert, open to all Villages residents (have your ID with you!). The performances start at 9 AM both days and the final performance is at 5 PM. All 4 banquet rooms and the main stage at the Savannah Center are used, with different starting times at each one. Performances are 60 minutes each. Everything from single performers to duos, small bands, larger bands and groups; rock, pop, jazz, folk, all kinds of music. I expect the line up of acts will be listed in The Daily Sun, and is probably posted at Savannah Center. I am performing with the Pops Chorus Folksingers at 3 PM on Friday on the main stage. It's a really good event and a chance to see many different acts in one place. The performers are all Villages residents.
