Default Wawa's

Anybody know what is going to be built north of Wawa's on 301 & 466? Big lot is cleared & ready for something. BTW, today, 10-23, their was a tanker filling the underground gas tanks so an opening for Wawa's looks imminent.

Can somebody explain to me the excitement over Wawa? Isn't it just another gas station/convenience store?

Except for a couple things. The sandwiches and the coffee are the best, and it will always have the lowest gas prices.

I would consider it a definite upgrade from most - quality of hoagies and other prepared foods is much better and they are unbelievably clean for the amount of foot traffic that goes through them. Using their restrooms is never a surprise - always spotless from my experience. Gas is an add-on product for them. They were in the business for many, many years before adding gas stations to their stores. It seems they have spent time trying to perfect the convenience store experience over all those years. Having been around them now for more than 30 years, I can tell you it is not a stagnant organization - they continue to make improvements to better serve their customers.

The sandwiches? Which one do you suggest?

Have you been to one, Wiotte? I'm just saying the quality and consistency of product and cleanliness is pretty darn good. Having traveled throughout various parts of the country, and often using stores like this on the fly, I think they really stand out in regards to those aspects. If you have not, maybe you just have to experience it for yourself.

Gas prices will be competitive. I was told, at least at my local Wawa, that part of the store manager's job is to confirm gas prices on a weekly basis within a certain radius of the store in order to set theirs accordingly. It is always the lowest.

I don’t spend one red cent at these so called “convenience” stores. If I travel, I brown bag it with a cooler. I tend to keep my wallet close and never open it unless I have absolutely no choice. I’m a guy, don’t care if the restrooms are clean or not.

Its amazing how topics get side tracked right out of the gate and never even an attempt at answering the OPs original post.

I don't think it was answered. The question was and still is:
"Anybody know what is going to be built north of Wawa's on 301 & 466?"

Would like to know, too.
