Default Crvo

Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRV)) is a blockage in the retin vein of the eye, resulting in swelling of the macula and serious loss of vision- from 20/20 to 20/600 in my right eye (left eye still is ok)
My retina specialist says that there is no cure for CRVO. I had a second opinion and he said the same thing, although there are presently some promising clinical studies and research being conducted. Internet research confirms the above.
My specialist recommends shots of Avastin to the eyeball to perhaps stop the swelling and possibly restore some of the lost visual accuity,at least temporarily.
I'm wondering if anyone reading this post has/had CRVO, and if they could offer info or advice from their experiences with it. CRVO is not the same as macular degeneration, detached retina, etc. Thanks
