Show how much the Democratic party has changed over the years. This speech was given in the late seventies.

Barbara Jordan was a civil rights leader for Texas. She was elected to the Texas State Senate and eventually, the U.S. House of Representatives. She was gay and generally considered to be very liberal for that time.

The Democrats in the 70's were prone to bouts of common sense.

Of course, if she had given this speech today, she'd be called a racist and against the poor.

Even though Democratic immigration policies hurt black Americans, they don't care because they think the blacks will vote democrat regardless. Or as they say irregardless.

They may be the "minority," but working blacks are voting Republican more than ever.

They dems don't care as the poor immigrants will vote for them

The new immigrants, after Trump changes policies, will be a better class and vote more Republican.

Add that to the illegals that won't be voting anymore, the dead democrats that will stop voting, the double voting democrats that will be arrested....
