It’s unclear if background checks would have affected Willeford, a former NRA instructor. However, the current background check system missed Kelley, who was kicked out of the Air Force following a domestic violence conviction and therefore should not have been able to purchase a gun legally.

On Monday, the Air Force admitted that it failed to enter Kelley’s conviction into a federal database. As a result, he was able to pass multiple background checks to buy weapons, including the one he used on Sunday.

Just for $hits and giggles let's just assume he knows more than the usual main stream reporter (no problem since they have no knowledge of guns and laws) or the average anti gunner like many on this forum whose only knowledge is what they read from the main stream media reporter above!!

Trump. I believe he knows quite a bit less than the normal reporter about the real effects of gun violence on people.

I might agree reporters may know about the people in the story being currently covered....
I also might agree Trump may only know as much as the rest of us......

It's been suggested many times by professionals that Trump has the intellect of a fifth grader. His knowledge of history, geography, etc. prove that thesis. He didn't even know he was President of the US Virgin Islands. Or that Puerto Rico is in the Caribbean Sea, not "an ocean". Duh. President Donald Trump Doesn't Know Where Puerto Rico Is
