How about people check out what kind of links their hometown Sheriff or police department has? Could these be improved? And if they could be, contact them. Mental illness links are quick important as would be domestic violence and child protection.

Here is a good set of links for a rather remote area of Nevada. Washoe County Sheriff's Office - Northern Nevada's Full Service Law Enforcement Agency

Or some of Washoe County, Nevada is very desolate.
