Default What will a Second Korea Conflict look like ?

Lindsay Graham has just warned China that if they don’t clamp down on NK there WILL be a preemptive strike on NK and it will be sooner than later. What will this war look like ?
What will be it’s aftermath ?

NK will fire off an ICBM that will be detonated at high altitude. The resulting EMP will destroy all unhardened electronic devices in most of the US. We will retaliate with a variety of missles at select targets. Don’t forget carpet bombing NKs hardened artillary positions. Don’t miss their Command Control and Communication systems. Maximum 500,000 dead. China in its effort to keep Communism on the Korean Peninsula will move in and take over NKs government. Sounds like a win win in any virtual reality game.
Plus more cheap labor that US manufacturing can use to increase shareholder value. Get in the market early!

Sounds like a plan, I’m onboard.

And who is going to buy all their stuff? Minorities on welfare? In 30 years...minorities...Hispanics and blacks mostly...are 80% of the population.

If the market goes up...it'll be because of why it's going up now...the Fed intervening.

It'll look like a military coup against Kim Jung Un. And a mass surrender of his troops in exchange for food.

We can hope right?

Didn’t work in Nazi Germany, Hitler was lucky. Hopefully little rocket man won’t be.

One blast generating EMP would not cover the USA:

7 Answers - What is the range of an EMP wave caused by a nuclear explosion? - Quora

Regardless who starts it the city and surrounding areas of Seoul S. Korea will be wiped off the map by the thousands of artillery pieces in NK already targeted to the area.

Maybe within the same hour the US shuts down most of N Korea...conventionally or nuclear or both.

The altercation will go some 24-72 hours with millions of both S & N Koreans dead. If the fat boy has a chance and if he has anything in his nuclear arsenal other than BS he will send what ever he has to some US military site nearby or Hawaii.

Alternatively to try to eliminate the extinction of Seoul the US may try a multi pronged, covert, interior Seal Team 6 type effort to neutralize the nuclear sites. This would require a simultaneous massive attack on the thousands of artillery pieces aimed at Seoul.

No matter the scenario there will be a massive loss of civilian life in the process.

The destiny was cast long before Trump showed up.
What should Trump do for a favorable outcome. Mimic what Obama did for 8 years? Imagine if the USA decided 8 years ago to contain NKOrea's ambitions. Then it would have been a night assault some where that decimated what ever the NK had. But no, that would have been aggressive and not playing nice. The Obama and previous POTUS played the sanctions game to keep everybody smiling.

Well all that was wasted time & money. And in the meantime the NKoreans did exactly what they said they were going to do....knowing the paper tigers in Washington would do nothing to stop him.

So now that our previous presidents allowed the monster to become what it is now....a nuclear threat.....all some can do is continue to pander about how Trump is behaving...if Trump were president the previous 8 years the would no doubt be no NKorean threat today.

The anti Trump BS and rhetoric at this point is only something to hide behind. America has allowed NKOrea to achieve it's goals. The Obama legacy includes doing nothing to stop it when it would have been less of a task and threat to millions.

What everyone seems to be missing here are two or three fairly obvious literal fallouts. Take a look at a map. China borders North Korea. The last thing they want are US missiles landing near their border. Missing by one mile might mean nuking China and they would not ignore that, or the radioactive fallout that will blow over their population. Russia is not that far either and has their nukes pointed in our direction. Everyone on that side has already warned that if the USA fires first, they will rain their own "fire and fury" on the United States.

Pakistan, India and Israel all have nukes. Presidents for the last 70 years have kept us from nuclear war and now we have a President who has to distract us from his failures with threats of war.

And most of the super powers know that with no USA their futures would be drastically affected......for a major period of history.

As for the last paragraph...the constant banging away by anti-Trumpers offers no added value to an other wise serious discussion.

Now that is well put. Obama kept this man at least silent while Obama was President of the United States. Now Trump gets into it with him over Twitter and whatever the North Korea dictator uses at the moment .

But why then do we have such threats of war? We didn't have it under Obama, only under Trump. Kim knows the rest of the world thinks Trump is a joke and has no credibility. He is taking advantage of that.

“Trump could send a tweet in the middle of the night ****ing off Kim Jong Un. And the next morning we wake up to a world on the brink of war,” one seasoned diplomat told BuzzFeed News.
