Default New Year’s Eve Happenings

We should be back here a few days before New Years Eve and I was just wondering what will be going on in The Villages. I think I might have read that there are some parties in the Rec Centers. Anything going on in the town squares? We usually don’t do much on New Years Eve other than going out to dinner, watching TV and falling asleep shortly thereafter but I was just curious what will be going on here.

I read somewhere recently that the cost for a seat at a table in The Squares this NY's Eve will be $25, also I think the Rec Centers have parties - check me on this information, probably on TV website. Just yesterday I saw that Katie Belles has a NY's night and I thought it was very reasonable, check their site.

And unless something has changed....the squares only go to their normal time of 9:00 PM.

You would think they might make an exception for New Year’s Eve.

Sometimes, Not on New Year Eve, but a couple folks stayed longer at the Band Gazebo and got arrested.

Just remembering old times around here.....

I think I remember reading about that. We won’t go into details.

We set the alarm for 11pm and cruise around most television channels, say a prayer for Peace, Health, Happiness and hurry back to sleep. I think we made it until past midnight last year, a miracle.

When we lived in Hawaii, we'd celebrate on the phone with our kids on eastern time then go to dinner.

Resurrecting this one. We should be back at our TV home in a week or so. Anything being advertised in the paper there for New Year's Eve other than Katie Belle's ?

When we moved here in 2000, they did have New Year's Eve at the Square. It went til 12:30. After a couple of years they stopped it.
