Default Disney Hotels

I am planning to go to Disney in April and am looking for recommendations on which hotels to stay at on the property. Your suggestions would be helpful.

How much are you looking to spend? Are you taking any kids?

Our favorite resort is the Boardwalk. It's within walking distance to both Epcot and the Studios.

We stay at the budget hotel i.e. hollywood music, etc. Very reasonable. The reason is we leave in the am and don't get back until late at night. Has a nice pool, small outside bar, and a cafeteria style food for a quick bite.

We have stayed at Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Port Orleans Riverside. For the money, Port Orleans is a good value. It is a moderate priced hotel. Along with shuttles to the parks, they have a boat that takes you to Disney Springs. If you are a Florida resident, you can get discounted hotel rates. Buy your tickets asap and you can Fast Pass 60 days in advance if staying on the grounds. Otherwise, it is only 30 days. For the most popular rides, that is a must. Have fun!

I agree, budget, Pop Century, All Star. I have stayed at all the budget and many of the more expensive, Polynesian, Animal Kingdom, Boardwalk, etc. I go to Disney to enjoy the parks therefore I would rather save that extra $200.00 dollars or more a night and have a clean room and a clean bed and head out to the parks. If I want to enjoy the resort and the pool I can do that here in The Villages or at a seaside resort for much less. You can go to any resort for breakfast, dinner or a cocktail should you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the budget resort. You can also get a florida resident rate at all Disney Resorts. Every penny counts when you're at Disney.

We have stayed at 11 hotels in Disney. It’s a personal preference of the amenities you are looking for. We do love French Quarter, it’s smaller, has water travel, and have a very cool pool. Since you are not really eating at your hotel, food it not a big deal for us.

We have stayed at both Port Orleans and the Grand Floridian. For top of the line we prefer the Grand Floridian, but most of the time we’ve stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, we did not care for Port Orleans French Quarter.

The Grand Floridian is the must luxury experience. The Old Key West Resort has the largest rooms. We love them both.

Default Disney Springs Wyndham Lake Buena Vista

Stayed here on our trip to The Villages.
I booked on Agoda.com and got great rate and then got upgrade room.
The room was clean and had a view of the Disney fireworks. Your not in Disney but shuttle buses are available and discount tickets etc. it’s the closest to Disney Springs area and is an easy walk and lighted at night. The pool area offers both kid and adult pool. Play area for kids. Bar area adults
Overall it was a good choice!
Have a great time!!

Love the Grand Floridian.

But I don't spend money very often on Prime beef.

we have stayed at every disney hotel over the past 25 years. That was our goal and we accomplished it.

If your going to lounge around the room all day, go for the most expensive....if your going to go out and do and see, and just sleep and shower in the room.....think economically.....save the hotel fare and spend the money on experiences...

we love the campground and the cabins....

one more thing to add.....the moderate hotels have 2 FULL size beds, the Luxury hotels have 2 queens......standard....you can upgrade $$ to a king

Don't know how you are accustomed to travelling...but the nice thing about staying at a Disney vacation club resort such as Old Key West is that the one bedroom offers a king bed, Jacuzzi room, washer/dryer for that special spill and a full kitchen with dishwasher and dining area!

We enjoy it because we are not fans of park food and restaurant prices. We can bring our groceries, a case of water, have breakfast in, do a park in the morning and return for lunch, the pool, a stroll thru Disney Springs, a nap, and dinner before returning to a park for the evening. DVC studios offer mini fridge/coffee maker/microwave and paper goods. Both units also include a lovely patio or deck with table and chairs....a lovely spot for a cocktail and for cards or games.

Beginning March 21 if you are staying on property there will be a overnight parking fee starting at $14 to $24 per night. If you are DVC you are exempt.
