Default Lake Regional Urgent Care

If you need some medical attention that would normally take place in an ER OR if you donot have a family Dr in TV for routine medical tests or prescriptions, you may want to consider the Lake Regional Urgent Care center in Lake Sumter. It is located on Camp Road about 1/2 block from the SweetBay Supermarket and the are open 7 days a week ...most days until 7 and 5 pm on weekends (and I think wednesdays).

They have all the equipment that a normal ER would have and can take Xrays and Blood tests on the spot and are also set up for cardio-work. A medical Dr (Not just a PA) supposidly is always present while the facility is open. They also take most medical insurances as a preferred provider.

Thumbs up

My family doctor recommended them when he is not available.
I went there Monday.
Met with a nice young Doctor, diagnosed my bronchitis, and prescribed an antibiotic.
Good experience, would recommend them.

I used this facility when I became ill during a Lifestyle visit in March and was very impressed. I only waited about 1/2 hour, even though I was a walk-in. They were thorough, compassionate and accurate in their diagnosis. To make things even better, the physician I saw, yep, a real doctor, even told me where I could get my prescription filled for free. She told my I could take the script to Sweetbay for a no charge prescription.
The folks at Sweetbay took my prescription and cell phone number and called me when it was ready, about 15 minutes later.
Wow, talk about first impressions! It doesn't get any better than this.
