I just noticed a new designation ... "Golden Eagle Member". Perhaps it has been around for a while and I missed it. Tony .. what's the deal with that?

Does it mean Golden Eagles swoop down on innocent prey and carry them back to their nests? No, that's Political.

I think being a Golden Eagle probably means I'm a bit too fond of my computer.

JOIN ME!! I have got to stop running my mouth on here. I am either THERE where I am having a good time and don't post so often unless I read something interesting and get suckered into it, which is ALL of the time, or HERE where I am thinking about The Villages and missing all of the great times and people and constantly reading posts and getting suckered into it, which is all of the time and I KNOW everyone is tired of me. I would be if I were someone else.

I am sorry everyone.

Bare and Gracie - see the similar thread below. I started when I first noticed the change - and Ms. Boomer has some interesting things to say about being a Golden Eagle...

Thanks Caveman! Wow, Tony and Talkhost are getting creative.

I must have been asleep and missed TOTV class the day it was taught. I wonder how many memers fall into each category.

Barefoot and GG, you are so right. Too much computer time. Birds of a feather.

This computer is located in a place where I see it all the time. It is ridiculous how often I see this infernal typing machine, but yet I cannot seem to see my giant elliptical machine.

And at risk of ruffling some feathers by sounding like one of those dreaded English majors, I just have to tell you that when I pushed the button for post 2000, I could not help but think of Mark Twain who said, “It’s easier to stay out than to get out.”

And Gracie, I am sad to say that there is another quote, that has been attributed to Twain, that might apply to us Cincinnati girls who cannot seem to stop writing these posts. Twain supposedly said, “If the world is coming to an end, go to Cincinnati because in Cincinnati everything happens 20 years later.” -- Ohhhhh, Gracie, what if we never learn, not for 20 more years. Ohhhhh, woe is me. (Or is it woe is I?)

Not sure if I should feel honored to be a golden eagle or sad. Think about all the hours that it took!

Incidentally, I know absolutely nothing about the membership designations. I am totally innocent, as I am in most things.

Ahhhh,

Does that imply that the "nice administrator" bears the responsibility?

K

PS - since the "to be or not to be" (an English major, that is) has jumped to this thread, I can say - no English minor either. Minor was History,,,

I could change the designations once again, using the seven dwarfs as a guideline.
