Default Heads up I-95 North in SC

If you are driving north this week up I-95 wanted to let you know of bridge work over Lake Marion SC - around exit 99, I think. Belive the signs leading to it.

We lost 1/2 hour there on Sat....

No way around it, but a health break just previous to there is advised.

Be safe!

I came down I-95 on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and had 2 major traffic back up. One was for an accident in the NB side of 95 in SC and the rubber necking in the SB side put things to a stop.

There was another big back-up at Brunswick GA near the FL line. No accident but at least on hour of lost time moving 2 feet stop move 3 feet stop. The First rest area in Florida was like going to the rest room at halftime of an NFL game. Lines were very long as the traffic back-up took it's toll.

I think they were just working on the bridge northbound...did not look like any southbound tie up.

Also looks like they will be working on the northbound side for a while.

From the SC DOT site
I'm driving down Sunday to my house in Hadley -
Whooo! Two weeks in Playland!

I hate I-95 thru SC - it is rough and crowded - all two lanes except the 10 or so miles around Florence,
cheers,
