Default Water

Do the sprinkler systems use city water, or are there individual or shared wells for sprinkler systems? Other places we have lived in Florida, even where houses were many years old, had a well between two houses for shared usage.

Default Merry Christmas...

We bought south of 466 in Village of Bonita.

Sprinkler water is recycled and provided thru a separate water meter. It somewhat less $$$ than drinkable, house water. Provided by Village Districts and paid for with amenities fees, etc.

Not sure if this is true for all villages, especially older areas?

Hope this helps.

Default Poorly worded...

What I meant is that water, amenity fees and I think trash, etc are all on the same bill and paid together.

Sorry

But the charges are separated so you know what you pay for water, garbage and amenity fees so I do not understand the comment.

North of 466 we use the same water for drinking and sprinkler system. I understand that south of 466 they have separate systems. Good water for drinking and recycled water for sprinkler systems.

In sections of TV north of CR 466, sprinkler water and potable water come from the same system through the water meter on your home. South of CR 466 the came up with a different system that uses recycled (non-potable) water from the sprinkler system and "city" water for your home. The recycled water is (in theory) cheaper.

What an earlier post referred to was billing for water, sewer, trash and amenities. They are all billed through a CDD agency (VCDDD-LSSA north of CR 466 and I forget the "official" name south of 466). Although it is one piece of paper, each bill is on a separate line item so you can easily separate trash, water, sewer and amenities expenses (for those into expense accounting). The advantage is only one bill - one stamp to pay all four, or pay online, or drop off your payment free at any postal station in TV.

... Or auto-pay through your checking account. That way you don't have to do anything except read the bill and note that it is in the same ballpark. It is deducted from your account on the due date.
