Green Motion Gatwick - DO NOT USE

If you need to rent a car at London Gatwick, do NOT use Green Motion. They used to be very good but, being a franchise, they have recently changed ownership and it is now being run by a bunch of scam artists.

They use all sorts of ways to charge more to your credit card (read the reviews for some hair-raising stories). We were recently charged £300 for what was originally a £118 rental - flight delay, arrived late, our small car had "gone" so we had to take an upgrade.

Be careful, as a lot of the "unknown" agencies book your car through Green Motion without your knowledge. Stick with one of the "known" names - Budget, Hertz, etc.

I had problems with them last year. I won't go in to details, but I certainly won't be using Green Motion again.
