When tickets for a show go on sale on a specific date are they available online at midnight or at a certain time in the morning?


I called the box office twice and got 2 different answers. One said "at midnight" the other said "after the box office opens for the day". I figured I would try for "best out of 3" and call one more time but decided it wasn't worth it.



Anyone actually know from real experience?

Usually it is at 8:30AM. The time along with the date the tickets become available is posted on The Sharon | The Villages Sharon L. Morse - Performing Arts Center - Tickets and Upcoming Performances web page. It it is going to be a really popular show you start hitting the web page over an over at 8:29 if you are looking to get particular seats... or in some cases any seats at all.

I just checked 2 shows I had some interest in and they only show the date and not the time but if your experience has been 8:30 I'll go with that.

Edit: I do see some shows do say 8:30 and other have no time. Maybe because those tix don't go on sale until August.

8:30 worked every time I've ordered and I've even tried in the middle of the night and it didn't work.

Tickets for any new show that goes on sale are available at 8:30 am, same time as the Box Office opens. After that, you can buy them 24/7 online. When looking at the shows online, If there’s no date, it’s not on sale yet. People need to read the whole ad.

[snark on] Actually this "people" did read the whole ad and there WAS (and is) a DATE but no time listed of WHAT TIME on Aug 1st this "people" could buy tickets online. All it STILL SAYS is "tickets go on sale Aug 1" and not "tickets go on sale August 1st at 8:30AM" so how are "people" supposed to know what time they can rush to their computers and TRY to get tickets ONLINE before all the scalper's bots get them? Now it is POSSIBLE this "people" might have looked on the wrong website (this is on The Sharon | Schedule - The Villages Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center) but it seemed like the logical place to look. In fact, NONE of the shows on the site that do have "ON SALE DATES" have "ON SALE TIMES" listed.

One would think that BEFORE they go on sale they would tell you WHAT TIME on the sale date you could purchase them which was what THIS "person" was asking about since he obviously wasn't previously aware of the "8:30AM rule.". [snark off]

Ticket site was not accessible for almost 30 minutes this morning starting at 830am. Once the sales opened at 830 I just got a white screen from the ticket sales site. Tried 2 computers, a cell phone and an iPad on 3 different networks at 2 locationd. Thought it was due to heavy ticket sales but when I finally got in while sitting at Starbucks at around 9am hardly any tickets had been sold for any performance so I guess it was a website issue. What a frustrating exercise. It's was easier ordering an iPhone on launch day! [emoji3]
