Default Podiatrist/Orthopedic Surgeon

Need to find best "Foot/Toe" Doc in the area. Very Bad toe caused by 30 years of running needs serious attention. Recommendations appreciated.

Most orthopedic surgeons pass on below the ankle conditions leaving them to the podiatrists. My suggestion is to seek a top sports medicine podiatrist which may entail extending your search beyond The Villages. Wish I could help with a name

You may wish to contact the Orthopedic Department at the University of Florida in Gainesville. They are about an hour away.

I second UF (Shands). Up in Gainesville Shands has a sports medicine running clinic. If you went there for an evaluation, they would probably recommend a good surgeon.
