Default Multi-Week Dog Boarding Service

The wife and I are going on a three week vacation soon. We want to board our very well-behaved 40 pound dog. In a private home would be ideal. But we will consider all options. Can anybody recommend such a service? We'd love to hear from you.

Of course we would welcome all comments...even regarding services that you feel we should avoid.

You can try Rover.com for local sitters.

What is your price range? And what are your dates? I could definitely recommend two or three people, but prices vary.

PBear, do you know someone who knows and likes your dog? I ask because I take care of a dog for a friend, I have her during the day and take her home to her crate at night. She sleeps all night and I pick her up really early in the morning. I also take her home if we are going to be out for more than a hour or so, she is much happier in her own crate and home than wandering around my home. Just a thought.

Unfortunately I can't recommend a private home type of service, but I can highly recommend Bedtime Tails Luxury Pet Hotel. We boarded our two there for 3 weeks and they seemed to like their own "vacation". We have used them several times and our dogs get excited going there. Cathy does a great job, and actually lives onsite. Here is a link if you decide to check them out: Bedtime Tails

We used to leave our (now, sadly, departed) Cockatiel there, and they did an excellent job caring for him. Very nice people and clean facility.
