Default Cataract surgery advice

Has anyone had recent cataract surgery here in TV and make recommendations. My husband's cataracts are getting worse and he would like to have the procedure done soon.

What lens did you get and why? Do you feel you got the right lens? Would you make the same choice? I am trying to decide.

I went for the basic lens. My ins and Medicare will not pay for the multi-focal lens. $2500 per eye when I had mine done last year. I tried asking on this forum about the different lenses and only one person replied that he got the multi-focal lens.

And when you ask the doctor about the multi-focal lenses the response is that you MIGHT not have to wear reading glasses. For that price I would want a more definite response.

I can buy a lot of reading glasses for $5000.
