Sumter County Administrator quoted in Daily Sun today.

The county in partnership with the city of Wildwood is working with the State Department of Transportation to forego the installation of a roundabout at US301 and CR472, a key entry point to The Villages.

Planned development on the east side of US 301 would diminish the proposed roundabouts effectiveness, Arnold said. Instead, the state appears willing to permit the installation of a traffic signal at that intersection.
(I think this makes sense, never could figure out how a roundabout would work on a 55MPH highway)

Excellent decision. After seeing how people drive roundabouts here, it sounds like a death trap to me!
