Default Special Visit....

Hello Fellow Villagers....
Upon the "sudden" death 2 weeks ago of my brother (3 months diagnosis) from learning he had ALS I have tried to take his place (which I'll never do) and invited his best friend who is my remaining brother down to visit. Since my wife and I are not the "outgoing" socailites and partyers my other two brothers were I'd like to make his visit a "memorial" one and although we are only social drinkers I'd still like to (try) and keep up to my deceased brother's reputation and social activity.

What I'm asking is that we have been here only a short time and although I'd like to show him the nightly bands, entertainment and "happenings" here in the Villages I know that some of you know of the "hidden" places of Karoke, drinking, entertainment and good food as we have found a couple places like Katie Bells, Gator Joe's in Bellview but want to make sure he has a good time and know that I too can show him good times as my deceased brother has.

I appreciate any places you think might be interesting and places where I might rent a small pontoon or fishing boat as he is also involved with fishing and thought maybe I could take him and his wife on an airboat ride and show him the local lakes.

Thank you for your opinions, your comments and any ideas as we also like Mount Dora and might try taking him there. Anyway thanks again for your help as you have helped in many ways before.

I offer my sympathy to you in your loss.

All of the things that you have mentioned are good places to go. Does he like cards? There is Bridge and Euchre and Hand and foot played in many of the rec centers. Karaoke is fun to watch too and I think Kathie can tell you where that is happening.
