Cool TV in the villages

We just purchased a home on TV We are in the older section of TV Our friends also purchased a home in the same area. Their TV was on and working when they moved in and they have never received a bill. We have no service and have to get comcast to tie us in. Is there some kind of grandfathered hook up on some homes? Just short visits whenever we can for now but will be moving down from NH in September of 2011. Can't wait

Do you mean that their cable was on? Maybe previous owners had paid through the end of the month or forgot to close the account??

I don't know about the grandfathered thing. The charge to connect your home to Comcast, even if you have never had Comcast at the residence, is not too bad. Something like $29.

I do know Comcast offers a special deal to their Florida customers called a seasonal convenience plan. You can put your services on hold for a minimum monthly price. That way you don't have to pay the regular monthly fee when you aren't there and you don't have to connect and disconnect every time you leave or come back to your Florida home.

Page 2 of this brochure explains the plan.
