Default Find a Dermatologist

I am looking for a Dermatologist.

I heard that Dr Tran is good but he is not too well organized and has patients wait sometimes for hours.

Does anyone have a suggestion.

Default Lake Dermatology

My husband and I have going to Dr. Chung at Lake Dermatology since 2006. He has two offices, one in Leesburg and one in The Villages. I don't know if he is taking new patients but his partners the two Dr. Torres's might be.The offices are run efficiently and at times you have to wait, but not long. My husband had basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas removed and he was very pleased with the level of care and follow up.

I never had to wait at Dr Tran's. Seemed organized to me.

I had a 7:45 appt with Dr Tran last Friday and did not get called until 8:45 - over an hour wait at that time of day. I asked at the desk around 8:30 to see what was going on and she said they had a room available and I should be called back soon. It seems to me like maybe some 'double booking' of appointments. I had even arrived early - just before 7:30 - was glad I brought my book to read. While he does do good work - I think I will be looking for a new doctor.

Dr Bond is good and pretty much on time but he uses PAs for the actual work (freezing of cancer spots, etc)

Dr. Michael Freeman. Great personality. Always on time (to my experience). Very thorough. Very caring. Great office staff.

He has an office near the hospital. (also one in Ocala) Tell them you read about him on Talk of The Villages.

There have been times that I am actually out of the office, on the way to my car, before my appointment time.

I had a very painful abscess on my back a couple of years ago. It was a weekend. I called his answering service, and he called me right back. He said that he couldn't do anything over the weekend because he had no staff available. He said to be in his Ocala office at 7 a.m. Monday. I was there, so was he and his nurse. He personally had pulled my chart and was ready for me. He did the work before his office hours.

That's the way doctors are suppose to be.

My wife had a mole removed at Dr Tran's office Friday at 11:15. She got right in. We both use him and haven't had any problems.

Ditto on Dr. Freeman and staff, especially PA Daphne...professional, timely, informative.

Just wondering - was your wife there to see Dr Tran, or was she just seeing one of the PA's for a check-up? I was waiting that long for a surgical procedure with the doctor.

Since your appointment was early, maybe he overslept that day. My wife had another one removed this past Friday with no problems. I personally like him and his staff.

Is the PA in Dr. Freeman's office (Daphne Chester) allowed to do actual laser work, i.e., removal of spots, etc.?
