Thanks chuckinca. That was really nice. Remember after Sept. 11 and when the Iraq War first started and everybody had those flags that they proudly stuck in their car windows? I was a reporter and interviewed a kid who had joined the Marines just after 911. He was home for the first time after a tour in Iraq. Saddam Hussein wasn't even in prison or hanged yet. It was this 18 year old's first time away from the small town where he was raised. He told me about being proud, afraid, mad and confused, but he wanted to do something for this country he was raised to respect and love.

His mother worked at Walmart. The local Walmart had a giganic banner everyone in the area signed with blessings and sentiments; not just for this young man, but for all the unsung heros going to war for America. He told me about going through an airport, confused and scared that he'd miss his flight, hundreds of miles from home. As he was looking around, he saw banners on the walls of the terminal. All wishing Godspeed to the soldiers. There in front of him, he saw a banner with the words Claypool Hill, Va., Walmart across the top. The Walmart where his mother worked. He went over and touched the paper and nearly wept telling me how much that banner and the words meant to him. Just words. But they meant a great deal to this kid in a strange place so far from home.

What a wonderful video. If only ALL of America would see that and return to former times of giving and sharing - even as bkcunningham1 says of the spirit after 9/11. Our military is why we are free!
