Default Xfinity internet is down

Internet just went out in my Mallory Square home. I’m using hotspot from my iPhone AT&T. Any one else has the internet down?

It’s up again after say 10 minutes.

I’ve never had it happen. Not there so can’t test it.

Two things, call them and/or unplug everything, wait 5 minutes and plug it back in.

I appreciate the advice. The internet was back up and everything connected again all by themselves, the only thing is my Apple Watch needs to “communicate” with the iPhone. It doesn’t seem to reset automatically.

Have had it going on 4 yrs . Never an issue except for the major outage occurred when a utility worker accidentally cut through a fiber optic cable about (a year ?) ago ...

Other than that , it’s been flawless.....

I used to have the same problem with it constantly dropping me off of the internet or the TV freezing and having to be refreshed. I mentioned it to Ben Meadows, the Xfinity rep who initially set us up in our previous home, and he said since we couldn't centrally locate the modem in this home to buy their xfi-pods. I did that about a month ago and the problem is solved. Very simple to install. If you go to their store on 441 they will install the app on your phone and all you really have to do after that is plug them in and put your phone up next to them for 60 seconds. It will prompt you to go to the next pod. Was well worth the $119 we paid for them. Everything has worked perfectly since then.

I've had Century Link internet since July 2011 and have only had one outage and that was because of a lightning strike. I called CL and a repairman was out in 2 hours and fixed the problem. I didn't know there had been a strike outside the garage area, but it had melted the backup battery in the garage. I have Directv, but I wonder about those jumping to streaming TV, a reliable is internet would be very important.

Xfinity internet is really limping today. Cut out in the middle of a show. And took quite a bit of time to come back. I have all new equipment too. I hope it doesn’t go out in the middle of the big game tonight!

I have AT&T as backup so I won’t miss it, but what a nuisance.
