Yes! And they will succeed. At least to bring it under control. The vaccine was already in development for other coronaviruses MERS and SARS so time should be shortened for this one as there was a head start.
We just need a little more patience, please, so that we will all live to get it.

Much as we desperately need a vaccine, my fear is that we will push something new into use too fast and face miserable issues later. Thalidomide comes to mind. I’m not sure I would be too quick to receive a minimally tested vaccine. Just me.
