That's right---nothing has changed

The CDC guidance that states you should wear a mask IF unable to socially distance yourself 6 feet has not changed

I have no trouble maintaining a social distance of 6 feet when getting my mail....if you do, then you should wear a mask.

Are we supposed to be wearing a mask when outside? I didn't think so. Let me rephrase that.....I don't plan to wear a mask when outside and can easily social distance properly. Getting our mail is a quick interaction with our mail box. It is very easy to keep the proper social distancing if and when we happen to run into someone we know.

Ya know if don’t go during the OMG the mail is here time slot, then it’s pretty much empty. If ours is picked up once a week we are doing good. Mask doesn’t protect you.

Exactly. And less chance of getting sideswiped, backed into, or run over as well.

A lot has changed. People now know that this virus is not as deadly as once thought based on the growing numbers of people that had it and had none, or very few symptoms. Also, you can’t stay locked up forever or wear a mask forever. Have recently heard doctors say that these masks are mostly psychological and do very little to stop any virus.
Most of us want to get back to living and we’ll take our chances just like we have done with any other virus. That 5% that have severe underlying conditions obviously may choose to continue avoiding people?

The death rate in Lake, Marion and Sumter counties from the virus is 32 out of a population of 854.944. This is a death rate of 3.74 out of 100,000. That's TO DATE....the daily rate of deaths for the same 3 counties is 12 per 100,000 with 8.2 per 100,000 coming from accidents - auto, falling off your rocker, etc. And I think people are starting to think the government has overplayed its hand a bit - especially when you see the guv of NY sending back the Navy ship Comfort that sat there with 1,000 beds and only used 20....or the field hospital in the Javits center that was outfitted for 1,000 beds and only used 90...and the taxpayers of the nation are taking in that spending load, because NY is soooooooo important

Default Masks

People don't realize masks protect other people. They don't really care if you die.

"teacher, teacher...Johnny's not wearing his mask!" Stop with this childish nonsense already We shouldn't be expected to wear masks 24x7

as someone else has already added to this post, if you avoid picking up your mail between 2:30 and 5pm you pretty much have the place all to yourself....and (huge plus) you aren't putting yourself in danger of being run over or backed into

it's really pretty easy to 'dodge' 2 or 3 people and respect the 6' social distancing objective at the mail boxes

I wear my old Lone Ranger mask. Had it for 68 years in my drawer. People move 10', 15' or sometimes 20' away from me when they see me coming.

A quick interaction? Is that like the 5 second rule. You should be wearing a mask.

Six feet is easy to maintain especially with my dog. The leash is six feet and that is the rule in TV.
