Default Are outdoor bars exempt from social distancing?

Hubby just drove through Lake Sumter Landing and said the outdoor spaces are "packed" and most people are not wearing masks. Red Sauce outdoor bar is packed just like nothing ever happened. No one was wearing a mask. I know restaurants outdoor seating is to be only 50% but are outdoor bars exempt from social distancing guidelines?

They are not exempt. We drove through this afternoon and the restaurants that were open didn't appear to have bar stools set up. There is probably a crowd waiting to be seated hanging out around the outdoor bar areas. From what I've seen lately, I don't doubt for a second that the majority weren't wearing masks.

You (generic "you" not you personally) don't just "build immunity and antibodies" unless you have the virus in your system. And if you have the virus in your system and show no symptoms you are then an asymptomatic carrier and could possibly spread it to those around you who may not be as lucky as you since most people here are in the most dangerous age group. You just can't develop immunity without having the virus so you might do well but not necessarily those around you who you could spread it to.

Excuse me for being stupid but how is one going to drink or eat with a mask on? I guess a plastic straw under the 😷 mask. 😭 Also don’t get choked and need the Heimlich maneuver ; they will be running away from you not running to help you 🤪

No, they are not. People just don’t want to believe that this is real.

and your point.. a mask is suggested not a law .. learn to breathe and go on with you life.. maybe all the people know each other.. if your afraid stay home.. the rest of us are out enjoying our day .. most people I see wearing a mask, are so not doing it correctly..

Bars are not open at all. Restaurants are open and can serve alcohol. Outdoor seating is allowed if the tables are at least six feet apart and no more than ten people are seated at a table. I reckon ten people at a table can make a place look pretty crowded.
