Pic isn't real clear but I'm going to guess a type of magnolia.

I agree, if it was me I’d get rid of it before it reaches 4” limit. I enjoy magnolias on other people’s property.

if it's a magnolia you definitely don't want it in your front yard.. you'll have fallen leaves cover your yard most of the year

Only the ones that don't blow into your neighbors yards. I have one several houses away and pick up leaves every day. Real PIA!
