The little neck clams I got on LI were a lot different than the little necks here. Here they are about half the size of the regular little necks, and what we used to call seedlings. I am only judging my experience from restaurants.

yup, that's the place ya wanna go...fresh seafood shipped in twice a week from the northeast

more expensive than what you'd pay at Publix or WD...but it's fresh and the guys that
run the place are seasoned fishermen that really know fish

Fresh oysters off my dock by the bay, Chesapeake Bay. I can grow the oysters, but I buy the little necks fresh off the commercial dock. Nothing better than fresh, fresh seafood.
