At Districtgov.org the weekly bulletin shows a plan for a first responders recreation center. Does anyone know where this is supposed to be? It’s the first time I’ve seen anything about this. I think it’s a great idea. I’m just wanting to know where it will be. Thanks.

It is the old fellowship hall of the Baptist Church, behind the new Baptist Church off of County 42, the northern edge of the Villages. By car you would have to drive up to 42 and turn toward 301, there is a road just east of the Baptist Church. By golf cart you go up Buena Vista, turn into Chatham at 172 Legacy Lane and right on Calumet or turn into Piedmont gate and go down Calumet road. Eventually you will reach SE 79th Clearview Ave. Take this to the west and you will reach a golf cart only gate and you are there.

Since it is the first time you have seen this (its been discussed for more than a year) I would like to point out that the name is in honor of First Responders.

It is not a rec center for first responders to use. It's for Villagers to use.
