What do you think of lipo-flavinoid (sp?). Does it work?

In reading online, seems it works for some and not for others. If you're the one impacted, have you talked with your physician about what could be causing this extremely, beyond annoying, condition? Does he/she know of this product and recommend it?

"Although it has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for this purpose, eriodictyol glycoside, which is an extract of citrus bioflavonoids, has been shown to improve microcirculation in the inner ear canal in at least one medical study,[1] which concluded that Lipoflavonoid provides a beneficial effect for patients suffering from tinnitus due to Ménière's disease."

Above is from various sites online...as is this.... " Since Lipoflavonoid is a natural supplement and not a prescription drug, side effects are not evaluated. This is due to the fact that multivitamins are not expected to cause serious side effects. But there are no reported side effects are not serious, such as headache, malaise stomach and unpleasant taste in the mouth.

In rare cases, can cause allergic reactions and may require emergency assistance. Such reactions to look out for are difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, tongue, lips or throat and hives."

It's probably best to talk to your physician who knows your medical situation.

Patients in my drug store report mixed results with lipoflavenoids. It all depends on the cause of the ringing in the ears (tinnitus). Just talking about drugs, not disease states that can cause tinnitus, some antibiotics, some cancer meds, some water pills, or aspirin in high doses can cause it.
