Default Sun Kissed TV location

Has anyone relocated their TV from the wall between the laundry room and living room to the wall by the entry door?
Thanks

Default Go for it - I think you'll like the result

Yes. We have a Bougainvillea (same floor plan as a Sun Kissed). Have a 55-inch TV on the wall by the front door. We mounted it on the wall with a movable, swing arm. It took me several years to talk my husband into it, but now we both love it there. It really opens up the room. We’ve never experienced any glare. But, depending upon the time of year, the sun coming up in the morning (we face east) will come through the window in the door and reflect off the TV right into my eyes when I’m at the dining table having breakfast. With the movable mount, just tilt the TV a little bit and no problem. It only last a ½ hour or so, so it’s not really an issue.
There was a time that my husband would have no issues with going up into the attic and running the necessary wiring and installing the outlets himself, but that ship has sailed! So we had an A/V guy come in and install an indented wall plug up behind where the TV was to be installed so there wouldn’t be any hanging cables – a nicer, uncluttered look. He wouldn’t install the swivel wall mount, so my husband did that work.
I’d say to go for it. I really don’t think you’ll regret it.

Does a 55 inch TV end up partially behind the front door when the door is opened? We have wanted to do this but didn't think there was enough space to fit a big TV.

There is plenty of room. Open your front door, measure between the door and edge of the woodwork. There is probably room for a 60" TV.

We have a small cabinet that houses the cable box, etc., positioned under the TV. My husband installed a sound bar just under the TV. I've attached a couple of pictures, one with the front door open and one with it closed, so you can see that there is plenty of room. We do not have the off-set doorway where the door leading to the 2 other bedrooms is pushed back away from the front door by a foot or two. If you have that, then you will definitely have more than enough room.

Good luck! As I said earlier, I don't think you'll regret it.
