Default Trying to get someone to answer in the Utility dept

I tried all day yesterday to get through to the water department to report a leak on a cul de sac public area in the Village of Mallory... couldn't get through...drove there, doors locked and the note on the door said to call to make an appointment...called from downstairs and still couldn't get an answer...352-750-0000 keeps asking to press 1 but no one answers...finally someone came down to let someone out and I told the gentleman my problem and he said he would let someone know...it did get repaired but wow...does anyone know how the water dept works and do they have operators and do they answer or are they overwhelmed by the size and the growth of The Villages or is it just poor customer service from the VCDD

I think the pandemic is the reason (or excuse) to have less or no people available to contact in nany of the departments. I often see people trying to get into the district offices at LSL to no avail while sitting at Sbx every afternoon.
