You are correct, the Villages is not as warm as Southern Florida in the winter. But compared to where we drive south from our other home, about 1,375 miles north, it is dam warm and comfortable. In fact, we kind of like it when the Villages gets the unusual cold winter days by Villages standards. No problem getting a T Time or a lane to swim laps in one of the sports pools. A couple of days each winter it actually gets so cold I have to flip up the windshield on the golf cart : )

I concur...we moved up to TV from Ft Lauderdale...very different weather. In Ft Lauderdale, I'd grow 3 crops of tomatoes every year and we'd go to the beach on New Year's day

But for 9 months of the year the weather in TV is fine for us...we try to escape in the hot months

I remember my first trip to Florida in January of 1969. We were visiting my aunt in Winterhaven. It was cold and wet. Brrr!!! She told us we would have to go down to Miami to get warm so we went there, ended up on a short cruise to the Bahamas where we soaked up warmth and sunshine. I'd previously just thought of all of Florida as a tropical winter paradise which it is not.

I remember coming to Florida the week Epcot opened. I was surprised how cold it was in the morning, frost. Seems like just yesterday.

Forget The Villages for the months of Dec, Jan, Feb. Too cold for me----Costa Rica here I come. Although it nice to see all the snowbirds come down and rent my house, help pay for my three months where it is warm etc
