Default FREE over the air TV

I was just notified by Locast.org (website) that over the air tv will now be available in The Villages and local area. I have been asking them to add their service to our area and it's finally here. It's very simple. Log on to Locast.org and let them verify your geographic location. They will make sure you cannot receiver an over the air signal and if you can't, and we can't, they will let you use their service. They will ask for a donation and they deserve it. When I tried to subscribe before they decided to allow their service here I sent them $10 a month. Well worth it if you don't subscribe to any streaming service. Try it.

I use Chromecast.

If you know how to fake the GPS on your phone, you can use locast to watch local channels in about 30 cities across the USA. So if your favorite team isn't on around here you can check where they are playing and watch them there.

Locast will accept a minimum of $5 a month donation.

Default Cast the internet to your TV

Most computers will allow you to cast whatever you have on your iphone to your TV. A little research on the topic will explain it. Some newer TVs will let you access the internet directly. Problem solved. I think about the time and money I spent trying to use an antenna. Didn't work!

Amazon Firestick. Just use the search (spyglass) at the top left of the home page. Type in “Locast” and the app will show below. Download it. When you open it it will show a code. Go on computer, tablet, or phone, to Locast.org and sign in by creating user name and password. Once in and on the homepage find “activate” and put in the code asked for on the Firestick. The App on the Firestick will automatically open and you are good to go. As long as you don’t log out it will come on each time. If you log out it will ask for the code, so just do the process and activate again.
