No idea but a good observation.
I think it would be due to a defect or legal problems.
I think if you made an offer based on having a home inspection you can resolve the first and if you have time to let them work out the legal problems you might be able to get a good deal on price.

Maybe it's the price. There are 11 other 2 bedroom villas available for less. And this new it doesn't have any of the must do upgrades that the others will. And other new ones are also less.

It's not still on the market. According to the Sumter Co. Property Appraiser's office it was purchased May 1, 2010.

thought it was strange, why do the developers leave it on the website, they update other villages

they dropped the price from $168 to $163 this morning, weird, emailed the Villages offices for clarification, could be why it is listed never lived in

I believe the property is still available. As for the reason for sale it could be one of many.

jan...

I think I saw a sign post that meant it was purchased. You never know if some sad or unexpected thing happened to the buyers. I know a person whose husband died just a couple of days after they closed.

I see that it is on the resale site. If you want to know what a person paid for a home and it is in Sumter county go to sumterpa.com and put in the address excluding the words street, drive, loop etc.

On a cheerier note. Pennecamp is such a nice village, so new and with a mix of all kinds of homes including Premiers. I think it would be a lovely home for you. We need another English Major here. They keep us all straight and we love them.

Kindest wishes,
Gracie

I know how to get the real answer:

Call an agent with a price (below what you see).

That will get their attention for the real answer.

The person that bought the villa (for $164k) in May was named Sargent, which is the name on the lampost that appears in the virtual tour.

Figuring around 15k for the bond, it's now roughly $180k

That name is still on the Sumter County website as the owner: http://sumtergis.com/GIS/

Perhaps they bought it May and just want to move up or out?

Surprised that you can't get a straight answer from your agent. Not their normal M.O. They will sell anything they can
